Other measures

In addition to electronic and mechanical security measures, there are various other measures an organisation can employ to protect against violent extremist attacks. E.g. deterrence measures such as lighting and signage can be used to signal that the organisation is security conscious. One should always know how the various safety and security measures work together and what they communicate to the outside world. Similarly, operation and maintenance should always be considered.
