Fences and walls

Fences and walls are the most commonly used measures in perimeter protection. There are many design, material and type options, depending on the desired cost, aesthetic and function. This should always be compared to the desired level of security. There are available standards if you prefer to use certified products.

Protecting the perimeter with a security wall or fence, usually delineates the boundary between a private area and a neighbour or public space. In addition to being a delaying security measure, e.g. in relation to unwanted intrusion, it can also help to shield the organisation from visual exposure and thereby protect the area from, among other things, reconnaissance activities.
