Protection of private buildings

As it varies whether private organisations own or control the space outside their building, the building exterior can become the outermost security layer that keeps unwanted persons and vehicles from entering and inflicting damage on the building and those present.
Depending on the organisation's purpose and the building's use, the building exterior protection can be supplemented with several security layers inside the building. This can be to secure specific spaces or areas so that, e.g. access will be limited to selected persons or groups of employees. For this, one would typically use security installations, such as access control systems and closed-circuit television surveillance.
In addition, you can also choose to secure the space by focusing on the furnishings, following the same principles as you would do in public buildings. This could, e.g. be to use fire-retardant materials or that glass sections are made up of safety glass, to avoid fragmentation in the event of explosives and ballistic impacts.
