Protective security handbook

Finding the right security solution can be challenging when you want to secure a physical area. It is therefore vital to have a risk assessment that can help the developer prevent, reduce and prioritise risk, so that the developer can implement security measures to an appropriate level. This applies to both existing and new construction projects, and in most cases, a residual risk will need to be accepted.

There is no specific legislation on protective security in Denmark. However, security measures must comply with the requirements of building regulations and other legislation for construction projects, as well as follow the authorities' guidelines. Additionally, one should consider emergency management aspects and seek advice when in doubt.

This handbook provides inspiration and guidance related to decision-making and implementation of security measures in buildings and on sites.
