PUBLIC SPACES AND OPEN SQUARES - TEMPORARY
In principle, protective security measures for events can be permanently installed, dynamic security elements. However, more often temporary measures are used. This is partly because of the constraints imposed by the day-to-day use of the framework and the fact that it is non-permanent. Temporary security measures are often less resilient than permanent security installations and should be supplemented with a security plan and potentially with guards.
A Flexible Urban Space - Active Elements

By moving the protective security measures into the streets between the buildings, it is possible to create a flexible security solution that considers different urban space uses.
In areas where events are repeated frequently, protective measures may be established as fixed but flexible elements, e.g., bollards that can be raised or lowered.
This solution allows relative freedom to plan and arrange the urban space.
A Flexible Urban Space - Temporary Elements

By moving the security measures into the streets between the buildings, it is possible to create a flexible security solution that accommodates different uses of urban space.
The security measures can be loose, temporary elements, such as concrete guardrails or retractable bollards. However, for proper installation they must be secured to the ground.
The solution should be used with caution in terms of both flow and availability.
