Restriction of publicly available information

As we increasingly search for and share information online, this is used by potential attackers for purposes such as targeting, planning, training, and observation. Reviewing previous Danish and international terrorist cases, it is evident that the attackers have used the Internet in their preparation of the attack.
Using social media can be an effective means to publicly demonstrate the organisation's security awareness. While this may seem positive, it is important to consider how much information you publish (on- and offline) and how detailed that information should be. Too much available information can have the opposite effect, facilitating the planning of potential attacks.
Information that employees disclose privately may also need to be regulated; so that no data that can be used in planning an attack is published. This includes but is not limited to, films showing the layout of a vital room.
